After having driven through the beautiful French country via Paris, Orleans, Vierzon, Saint Yrieix and Limoges, you arrive in La Crouzille.
La Crouzille is situated in the Haut-Perigord, a region in the departement Dordogne. La Crouzille, a friendly community of 13 houses, is part of municipality Tourtoirac, a pleasant town on the river Auvezerre with shops and restaurants at just 3 km distance.
The region has with the exception of Perigeuex (36,000 inhabitants) few big cities.
It is nature with rivers like the wild Auvezerre and hills around Hautefort
that form the main attractions.
In the surrounding areas are beautiful hiking grounds such as the GR646
(Grand Randonnee) at just 500 meters from the house and also beautiful
bicycling routes.
The nearest supermarket can be found in the idyllic town of Hautefort at 4 km.
The house and the apartment are both situated around a walled cour (courtyard),
where the car can also be safely parked.
Our house is surrounded by a spacious garden, which is partly filled with
our farm animals, goats, chickens, and our latest additions: sheep Jacob,
Sarah and Isaac.
In the garden is a pond of 450 m2 with a boardwalk, and a rowing boat.
The pond is fed by a natural water source.
The cour and garden are for common use and there is always a place to be
found to quietly enjoy the surroundings, or play a game of jeu de boules.
We also have a nice swimming pool of 10 by 4 meters to take a nice and
refreshing plunge!
